Alter Ego dye for cellulosic fibres. Ideal for devore or where two colour dyeing is required on a blended fabric such as silk rayon velvet or silk bamboo fabric. To achieve two colour dyeing you will need an Alter Ego colour for cellulosic fibre such as viscose rayon cotton linen bamboo etc. and a H Dupont Classique steam fix dye for the protein component, traditionally silk. Instructions are supplied when purchasing the dyes to help you achieve the best result.
Directions for double dyeing mixed fibre fabric: Add the 2 dyes (AlterEgo Viscose and H Dupont Classique dye), the fixative, vinegar and cooking salt to the water, add dampened fabric and slowly bring the dye-pot to the boil for 20 minutes. Turn off the heat and allow to cool before removing the fabric and rinsing under running water.
